Labyrinths should always provide visitors with directional clues, otherwise they won't be aware they've lost.

Travelers

Labyrinths are only meaningful to travelers because when one is able to feel at home wherever he/she goes, the ideas of labyrinths fall apart.

Concepts of Creation

Performance of "Pictographic Labyrinth" during the opening of solo exhibition in Taipei Artist Village, 2003; two of my good friends Ching-Fong Hsieh and Chi-Hao Keh were invited to play electronic flutes. Their performance interacted with the projected images that envisaged the history of Taipei: how it was established, developed and at last sold out. The following words are the conclusion of this opening show:

With the assistance of two underground musicians who are not union members, Taipei city finally reaches the Velocity of Escape required by the WTO and entered the orbit of satellite. And according to the agreement of The Most Favored Nations, the city has been exported to Mars.

Looking back today, many people realized that it was the last time they saw this strange and familiar city.
