Concepts of Creation

A Koi Fish constituted by Chinese character "heart" is swimming freely in the projection on wall. When the shadows of visitors block the direction it is swimming toward, the Koi will turn to white area. To the fish, its world is divided into a brightened part and a shadowed part by the visitors.

I always think that it's much easier to understand the outside world than the inside world. We use languages among other tools to measure and control the outside world as precisely as possible. Compared to the world inside our bodies, our knowledge is limited by the black holes where emotions and memories are buried. Only when one is spontaneously expressing his/her feelings with limited languages, he/she is able to communicate with the outside world.

The carefree Koi swims in the bright projection, a Koi of hearts as well as a fish of signs. This world can be compared to the Babylon Tower, a world of knowledge that is defined and controlled with uniformed signs. The shadows of visitors represent the murkiness in the bottom of consciousness, an unknown world that is hardly explored. let alone being controlled.

When a visitor gets closer to the projector, his/her shadow will be bigger. It suggests that the part of knowing has been blocked, and the Koi will lose its space of swimming.
