Hsin-Chien Huang Headlines in Immersive Tech Week 2023 in Rotterdam Renowned international XR Gold Award-winning director and Professor at National Taiwan Normal University's Department of Design, Hsin-Chien Huang, participated as a keynote speaker during the Rotterdam Immersive Tech Week. Esteemed industry figures, including the French electronic music pioneer Jean-Michel Jarre, the founder of the European Creative Lab Astrid Kahmke, and Professor Hsiao-Yue Tsao, Director of the Interactive Design Department at National Taipei University of Technology and head of its Metaverse XR Research Center, were invited to discuss their experiences and international collaboration approaches in XR artistry. During the two-hour forum, Director Hsin-Chien Huang alternated discussions with Jean-Michel Jarre, Astrid Kahmke, and Professor Hsiao-Yue Tsao. They delved into Huang's latest XR masterpiece, "The Eye and I," unveiling how it utilizes Generative Music to expedite cross-cultural collaboration and communication.

The panel shared insights on the exhibition journey of the work and the collaborative efforts between NTNU's Metaverse Motion Capture Lab and the European Creative Lab in Lyon, detailing how the NTNU lab's expertise and equipment enabled remote guidance of EUCL directors, directing dancers in Taipei, bringing their envisioned ideas to life flawlessly. They also explored the digital technology creation of the Matsu Blue Tears IP and the development of Metaverse tourism, with Professor Hsiao-Yue Tsao anticipating integrating digital technology with distinctive local landmarks or cultural features in Matsu. This would involve employing 3D naked eye viewing and MR immersive experience technology, offering an experientially-driven, interactive tourism service, thereby catalyzing cultural and tourism integration to attract more visitors.

The Rotterdam Immersive Tech Week, spanning a week, also specially curated "The Church of VR" segment, showcasing 21 outstanding XR contents from around the world. The event invited audiences to partake in an immersive interactive experience combining virtual and reality-based interactive technology. Through interdisciplinary artistic practices merging diverse perspectives and viewpoints, the event explored narrative, history, culture, contemporary issues, and more. This amalgamation highlighted the compatibility and boundless imaginative potential of XR technology, transforming the collaborative value of technological artistry. Renowned international XR Gold Award-winning director Hsin-Chien Huang and Professor Hsiao-Yue Tsao from National Taipei University of Technology's Interactive Design Department showcased Taiwan's works, "ASOMROF" and "BlueTearsVR," respectively.
