"Childhood Revisited" and "Samsara" were both nominated for the Bolton International Film Festival in the United Kingdom, taking the memories from one island to visit island of Great Britain.
The Bolton International Film Festival was first held in Bolton, UK in 2017, and now it has become one of the top ten film festivals in the UK. It has also been certified by the British Academy of Film Awards (BAFTA) and the Independent Film Awards (BIFA). The film festival added a VR project category in 2021, a strong indicator that new media art is attracting more attention.
This year, Hsin-Chien Huang's work "Samasara" and Hakka Public Communication Foundation's "Childhood Revisited" were both nominated for the Bolton Film Festival. Both works are based on Taiwan's cultural memory and natural environment. The pieces reproduce experiences in virtual reality so that viewers can feel the past and the future and explore the imagination of time, memory and life.
