"Samsara" has been nominated for three major international film festivals in 2022
On the heels of being nominated by the Annecy International Film Festival in France and the Zagreb Film Festival in Croatia, Hsin-Chien Huang's work "Samsara" has now been nominated by the Ottawa International Animation Festival in Canada. "Samsara" has now been nominated by three of the four major international animation film festivals in 2022.
The Ottawa International Animation Film Festival was established by the Canadian Film Association in 1975. It was originally a biennial, and was transformed into an annual exhibition in 2005. Today, it is the largest and most iconic animation film festival in North America. The film festival is famous for its all-encompassing types of works. In recent years, it has also begun to pay attention to the creation of VR new media and has added it as a competition category in the film festival.
"Samsara" will compete with the five nominees for Best Virtual Reality project in Ottawa this September. After winning the award for Best VR Project at the Zagreb Film Festival, we have high hopes of "Samsara" winning awards at all four major animation festivals which would make for an outstanding 2022 tour.
