I was very lucky to be awarded by the Keep Walking Fund. The "Body Book" is a project intending to record history of Taiwan with a human body.

The dream originated from my childhood experience. When I was four, my right eye became blind because the cornea was injured. Taiwan aided Sri Lanka in 1980; in order to thank Taiwan, the Sri Lanka government encouraged its people to donate their organs to those in need in Taiwan after they passed away, and I happened to be one of the beneficiaries of this historical event. When I was 14, I received cornea donation from an anonymous person from Sri Lanka. A window was reopened on my opaque right eye, and my body has become a page of this historical event.

I believe many people in Taiwan have recorded stories and history of Taiwan on their bodies like this. The "Body Book" project intends to collect these touching images and texts and share them with people in Taiwan.
